The Roseville
Urban Forest Foundation (RUFF) is a nonprofit community membership
organization serving the City of Roseville and surrounding
region. Our vision is to have a healthy and perpetual urban
forest.
RUFF is comprised of local citizens, corporate partners, business
owners, city representatives and tree professionals. The foundation
was founded in 1995.

We provide education, tree planting
and stewardship. RUFF's mission is to establish and promote
tree programs to foster the importance of the urban forest by:
- Proper Tree Planting and Stewardship
- Education and Training
- Volunteer Citizen Forestry
- Community Partnerships

The
Roseville Shade Tree Program is a community service sponsored
by the Roseville Urban Forest Foundation(RUFF) and Roseville
Electric. Free trees and materials are provided to residential
and business customers of Roseville Electric. Community members
take responsibility for planting and caring for their trees.
RUFF, along with Roseville Electric, would like to perpetuate
a healthy urban forest and help keep your homes cool in the
summer with FREE SHADE TREES.
Planting a tree is as easy as 1, 2, 3...
- a. Attend a community meeting. Topics at this workshop
include proper tree care, site selection and planting
basics or
b. Watch the DVD available from the Shade Tree Program, call 774-5666 or
c. Watch the online video presentation at the
Roseville Electric Website
- Schedule a site visit. A community forester will come
to your home or business to help select the best trees
and sites for your yard.
- Come to the planting demonstration. Trees, ties, and
stakes will be distributed at this time.
