The chaste tree is a small deciduous tree or large shrub with showy flower spikes. The
flowers appear in the spring and summer and attract butterflies.
Will tolerate dry conditions, but will perform well with light
water and fertilizer. Moderately frost hardy. Usually multi-stemmed.
Useful for areas where there is not room for a larger tree. It can be pruned
any way desired to achieve clearance and shading.
